Moisture-sense

Moisture-Sense

Moisture-Sense is a new inline moisture – dry matter sensor solution for French fries and other potato-related products. The Moisture-Sense provides real-time feedback on the moisture and dry matter content after drying and frying processes. This makes the Moisture-Sense essential to optimize the industrial processes resulting in a higher cost-efficiency.

Main features:

  • Real-time moisture – dry matter information on a 24/7 basis.
  • Measuring through the layer of French fries providing representative measurements.
  • Non-destructive measurements making it safe to use. No harm to your product nor the people around the sensor.

Continuous data

Conventional methods are limited to specific time points during the production. Every measurement depends on the sampling and operator leading to variations of 2% and more. The Moisture-Sense monitors continuously without the need of an operator significantly improving the accuracy.

Volumetric measurements

In contrast to conventional methods, the Moisture-Sense is based on microwave technology allowing to measure volumes of bulk material. The microwaves travel from the transmitter (Tx) to the receiver (Rx) measuring the moisture or dry matter over a large volume of French fries. This averages variations between fries providing reliable measurements.
